Man in SUV Invited Student to Approach Vehicle in Holbrook
BREAKING: It happened Wednesday morning as the student was waiting for the bus, school officials say.
A man in an SUV called out to a Sachem student and invited the student to approach his vehicle Wednesday morning, according to letter from Sachem Superintendent Kenneth Graham.
It happened near West Greenbelt Parkway and Springmeadow Drive in Holbrook.
After the driver of the gray SUV called out, the student "immediately went the other way" and the driver drove off, Graham said.

The parents of the student, who attends Sachem High School East, reported the incident to police.
