Map of Sex Offenders in Sachem Area

There are 945 registered sex offenders in Suffolk County, and 12 with a Level 2 classification or higher live in the Sachem community, according to the New York State Department of Criminal Justice Services and the Parent's for Megan's Law Website.

The 12 offenders live in Holbrook (5), Lake Ronkonkoma (3), Farmingville (2), Holtsville (1) and Lake Grove (1). For their privacy, they won't be listed on this site, however, you can view all information on the DOCJS Website because it's public information.

The State does not list addresses for offenders with a Level 1 status, however there are quite a few in the area: Holtsville (5), Holbrook (5), Lake Grove (5), Lake Ronkonkoma/Ronkonkoma (23). Parts of Lake Grove and Ronkonkoma are not associated with the Sachem community, and since the addresses are not visible for these citizens, many may reside just outside Sachem lines.

The offenders range with birthdays from 1929 to 1986 for crimes ranging from rape to sexual abuse and sodomy against males and females of varying ages.

According to the New York State Department of Criminal Justice Services, Kings County has the highest number of sex offenders (1,983) in New York, followed by Bronx County (1,470), Queens County (1,162), Manhattan (1,107) and Monroe County (1,082). Nassau County has 486. All totals are as of March 29, 2010.
