Motorcyclist Killed In Ronkonkoma Crash
A 58-year-old man was killed in a crash between a motorcycle and a car in Ronkonkoma Friday night.

RONKONKOMA, NY – A 58-year-old man was killed in a crash between a motorcycle and a car in Ronkonkoma Friday night, police said.
According to Suffolk Police, Richard Schmansky was traveling south on Smithtown Avenue near 2nd Street when his 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle collided with a 2001 Nissan Altima that was also traveling south at about 7:50 p.m.
Schmansky, of Centereach, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Nissan, 22-year-old Jamese Chetuck, of Coram, remained at the scene and was not injured.

Both vehicles were impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing.
