Here are the top three stories today in Sachem:

1. Brookhaven Community Choice Aggregation Energy program will launch in May. The program allows residents to choose an energy option over the utility's default rate for the natural gas supply portion of home and business owners' bills. This option will allow the town to buy natural gas on their behalf. "By creating a Community Choice Aggregation energy program, the town is able to help cut their energy costs and keep more money in their pockets, Supervisor Ed Romaine said. "I encourage every natural gas consumer to learn more about this money-saving natural gas program." (Sachem Patch)
2. Improvements at Long Island Macarthur Airport have begun. The $26M revamp includes the addition of a new roof, the replacement of three baggage carousels and the installation of a new air purification system. The project was funded in part from federal and state grants. (Sachem Patch)
