New York Jets' Greg Senat Drops Into Long Island Classroom
He spoke about his start in the NFL, as well as making healthy choices, school district officials said.
LAKE RONKONKOMA, NY — New York Jets offensive lineman Greg Senat recently stepped off of the field and into the classroom to visit 5th graders at Hiawatha Elementary School in Lake Ronkonkoma, school district officials announced in a news release.
Senat, a graduate of Elmont High School and former student of Hiawatha Principal Joseph Watson, spoke with students about making healthy choices, as well as a day in the life of a National Football League player, school officials said.
Senat stressed the importance of taking school seriously, keeping positive people around you, and persevering through tough times, according to school officials. He told students anecdotes about his NFL draft experience, playing with the Kansas City Chiefs during their Super Bowl in 2019, and went through his game-day routine, as well as encouraged students to find routines in their everyday lives that work best for them, school officials said.

During Senat's visit, students eagerly asked questions and got a glimpse into an NFL player’s life, school officials said, adding that Senat was happy to take photos with students and sign autographs.
Senat's visit inspired the students to be the best versions of themselves and follow their dreams, school officials said.
