Nicolls Road In Holtsville Cleared Of Spill: Cops
A tractor-trailer hauling hot liquid asphalt overturned at about 4:15 a.m. Crews started to reopen the roadway at about 11:45 a.m.

HOLTSVILLE, NY — Traffic was flowing better on Thursday after crews cleared a portion of Nicolls Road that was closed in Holtsville after a tractor-trailer hauling hot liquid asphalt overturned, Suffolk police said.
The tractor-trailer turned over at about 4:15 a.m., just south of the Long Island Expressway, according to police. The driver of the truck only had minor injuries in the crash, police said.
The road will be temporarily closed between the expressway and Furrows Road while crews clean, according to police. Crews started to reopen the roadway at about 11:45 a.m., a police spokesman said.
