🌱 No Adoption Fees At Shelter +Five New Homes For Sale
The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Sachem.

Morning, Sachem! It's me, Andrew Tessler, your host of the Daily. Let's get this Friday started off right with a quick dive into the most important things going on these days in town, including updates on:
- Check out five new homes to hit the market.
- Pets are seeking homes at the Brookhaven Town Shelter.
- Long Island's Joe Scally ready to represent the United States at the World Cup.
But first, today's weather:
Breezy with clouds and sun. High: 44 low: 28.
Here are the top three stories in Sachem today:
- Check out five new homes to hit the market. The homes are all located in the Town of Brookhaven and range in price and size. Interest rates are now the highest they've been in twenty years which means the seller's market has vanished on Long Island and buying opportunities are great. See the homes in the link. - Pets are seeking homes at the Brookhaven Town Shelter. The Town of Brookhaven is celebrating its "Home for the Holidays" promotion with no adoption fees through the end of December. The town sent out a plea to residents that pets need a home not just for the holidays but for all the days in between. You can stop by the shelter in person or click the link for more information. (Sachem Patch)
- Long Island's Joe Scally ready to represent the United States at the World Cup. The Sachem North alumni is only 19 years old, making him the youngest player on the team. "Always been a dream of mine since I have been a kid. If you speak to any soccer player just starting out or at any level of the game, to play in a World Cup for your country, so I'm very excited for that and I'm just honored to be here," Scally said. Learn more about Scally's journey in the link. (CBS New York)
