Police: 3 Teens Hurt, 1 Seriously in Holtsville Crash
A Holbrook woman also suffered minor injuries in the crash Monday afternoon.

Four people were injured, including a Holbrook woman, in a three-vehicle crash involving a Mack Truck in Holtsville Monday afternoon, Suffolk police said.
According to police, Mykel Wylie, 18, was driving his 2002 Hyundai Elantra with two passengers west on the north Service Road of the Long Island Expressway when he exited onto the southbound Nicolls Road ramp at about 2:50 p.m., police said.
As he attempted to enter Nicolls Road, Wylie lost control of the Hyundai, which then slid onto southbound Nicolls Road and was struck by a 2001 Mack Truck, police said. The Hyundai was then struck by a 2013 Nissan Rogue which was also traveling south on Nicolls Road, police said.

Wylie, of Riverhead, and his front seat passenger, Jeremy Bornstein, 17, of Wading River, were transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where they were being treated for non-life threatening injuries. The third occupant in the Hyundai, Alex Roytman, 19, of Wading River, was also transported to Stony Brook, where he is being treated for serious injuries, police said.
The driver of the Nissan, Jeanne Macchio, 32, of Holbrook, was treated for minor injuries at Stony Brook and released. The driver of the Mack Truck, Richard Gago, 44, of Brentwood, was not injured.

The vehicles were impounded for safety checks and the Mack Truck was inspected by Suffolk County Police Motor Carrier Safety Unit and released. Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed or have information on this crash to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
