Police Seeking 4 Who Crashed Stolen Car on Super Bowl Sunday, Fled Scene

The car was stolen from the parking lot of a Ronkonkoma hotel, police say.

Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating the individuals responsible for stealing a car in Ronkonkoma and crashing the vehicle in Centereach.

Between 8 p.m. on Feb. 7 and 9 a.m. on Feb. 8, a 2015 Nissan Altima was stolen from the Marriott Courtyard parking lot, located at 5000 Expressway Drive South in Ronkonkoma.

On Feb. 8, Super Bowl Sunday, at approximately 8:45 p.m., three males and a female were riding in the stolen Altima when they struck a 2013 Nissan Rogue head-on at the intersection of Mark Tree Road and Tree Road in Centereach, injuring the occupants in the Rogue. The four suspects fled the scene of the crash on foot, police said.

One of the suspects may have been carrying a Moe’s Southwest Grill bag. Therefore, officers believe the suspects may have eaten at a Moe’s restaurant in or near Centereach, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
