Police Seeking Man Who Scratched Car in Islandia

Police are investigating a criminal mischief incident that occurred in a parking lot in Islandia earlier this week.

Police say the man pictured above scratched the side of a 2014 Honda Pilot that was parked on the west side of Walmart, located at 1850 Veterans Memorial Highway, at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 7. The man was described as Asian, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8, approximately 140 pounds with receding dark hair. He was wearing a blue hooded-sweatshirt, a white tank top, light blue shorts and sneakers with lime green laces. The suspect was driving a white cargo van.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
