Mosque Property Damaged: Suffolk Police
An ignited device was used to damage a sign on the mosque's property, police say.

RONKONKOMA, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help in finding the person or people who police said damaged a sign at a Ronkonkoma mosque.
An ignited device was placed near or thrown at a sign on the property of Masjid Fatima Al-Zahra Mosque, at 55 Lake Shore Road, on July 4 at approximately midnight, police said. The mosque building was not damaged and no one was injured, police said. The person or people are wanted for arson/hate crime.
Detectives are asking anyone who was in the area, including being at Lt. Michael Murphy Memorial Park, between 10 p.m. on July 3 and midnight July 4 to call the police.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
