The man met the 13-year-old girl on Snapchat, police say.
QUEENS, NY — A Queens man accused of raping a 13-year-old girl was arrested on Friday, Suffolk police said.
Andrew Ramsaroop, 30, met the girl on Snapchat earlier in the month, police said. Ramsaroop met up with the girl at Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove on May 13, when he tried to have the girl and her friend get into his vehicle, but they refused, police said. Later that day, the girl met with Ramsaroop at a playground on Devonshire Road in Hauppauge, where Ramsaroop raped her, police said.
The girl told a school official, who called the police, police said.
