- Long Island's Joe Scally makes 2022 World Cup roster. The 19-year-old Sachem North alumni is the youngest player on the roster. Scally was a once in a generation soccer player and will be bringing his talents to Qatar for the World Cup. "We are excited to take this group to compete in the 2022 FIFA World Cup," USMNT coach Gregg Berhalter said. "We believe we have a talented group, a strong team spirit, and one that is ready to compete. We are extremely proud and honored to represent the United States and appreciate all the amazing support from our fans as we head to Qatar." (Greater Long Island)

Town Supervisor Ed Romaine said, "The success of our recycling effort is a direct result of the Town's extensive program to educate residents about the importance of recycling and its positive effect on the environment.
