Sachem Alum's Run On Hell's Kitchen Begins
Barret Beyer, a contestant on Season 11 of Hell's Kitchen, premiered last night on Fox.

Class of 1994 Sachem alum Barret Beyer made his national debut in last night's premiere episode of Hell's Kitchen, season 11. The Holbrook native is the sous chef at Patchogue's Emporium on Railroad Avenue, after graduating from culinary school in Syosset.
Last night didn't go without some hiccups, however. He was kicked out of the kitchen by host and master chef Gordon Ramsay after overcooking a Beef Wellington. The expulsion wasn't entirely Beyer's fault; he had some help.
The first male chef to get the boot was Sebastian Royo, a Brooklyn sous chef who got the hook for badly undercooking a risotto and then goofing off with the other chefs on the line. Sebastian kept coming back into the kitchen to ask forgiveness, a move that only served to irritate Ramsay further.

Meanwhile, Barret Beyer's Wellington was cooked perfectly, but had to be reheated a number of times because chef Michael Langdon kept undercooking the lamb. Ramsay was in the middle of sorting out what went wrong between Barret and Michael when Sebastian came running into the kitchen for the third time. Fed up, Ramsay tossed all three chefs out of the kitchen.
Fortunately for Beyer every other male chef but one was expelled by the end of the night, and he wasn't nominated for elimination by the rest of the chefs. Ramsay eliminated Sebastian and Beyer's run will continue at least another week.
