Sachem Appoints New Deputy Superintendent

Former assistant superintendent for student support and administration Patricia Trombetta was appointed Aug. 11.

LAKE RONKONKOMA, NY — Sachem Central School District officials have appointed Patricia Trombetta deputy superintendent, according to a news release Thursday.

Trombetta previously served as the district’s assistant superintendent for student support and administration, having been with the district since 2006, officials said. She has over 15 years of administrative experience and has held the positions of principal at Grundy Elementary, Sagamore Middle School, and Sachem High School North, as well as assistant principal at Sagamore Middle School, according to officials.

"Her experience as an administrator at every grade level has led to her proficiency in collaboration, supervision, and building relationships with students, staff, and families," officials stated in the release.

Trombetta started her career as a teacher and worked in several districts implementing new programs into the curriculum, officials said.

Trombetta is affiliated with the Association for Supervision of Curriculum Development and the National Association of Secondary School Principals, according to school officials. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, her master’s degree from Dowling College, and a school district administrator professional diploma from CW Post University, officials said.

In the release, Trombetta said she takes "great pride" in her new role in the district where she went to school and chose to raise fam her family.

“I am excited to work with everyone to move Sachem forward and continue to build on all the Sachem traditions," she said. "We are Sachem!”
