Employment listings for this week were not as full as usual, but there is still a good range of available positions in the Sachem community. Check them out below:

Babysitters: If you're looking for a babysitting position, take a look at those that opened up this week. A family in Holtsville is hiring a full-time sitter to care for a five-year-old boy and 17-month-old girl from 7:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Monday through Friday. The family has a dog and two cats, so applicants should be comfortable with pets. Another Ronkonkoma family is looking for help caring for a three-year-old boy and a one-year-old girl during the workday four days a week, including both weekdays and Saturdays. Hours may vary, but the hired sitter will not be needed past 6:30 p.m.

Compliance Administrator: Guaranteed Returns, founder of the Pharmaceutical Reverse Distribution Industry, is looking for a compliance administrator to work in its Holbrook location. The position is full time, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and wages will be dependent on the applicant's experience. The compliance administrator will be responsible for managing the operations of the compliance department personnel, enforcing company safety policies, and assisting departments with product classification. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years in a supervisory role, experience conducting accident investigations, and a background in the hazmat or pharmaceutical industry among other experience.

Custodial Manager: DL MDL Joint Venture in Holtsville, a joint venture between LB&B Associates and Dae Sung Corporation, needs a custodial manager with at least three years of previous custodial experience. Primary functions of the position include supervision of custodial staff, conducting weekly safety meetings and on-the-job training, and performing daily inspections as required. The custodial manager will also be required to handle HAZCOM waste and use automatic and manual floor machines. 

Account Executive: If you have three to five years of sales experience and are looking to move up, check out Verizon Wireless' posting for a business sales account executive for its Holtsville location. The ideal candidate's prior experience will include both having a territory and cold calling, and a college degree is preferred. The position requires applicants to be independent workers with the ability to absorb a large amount of technical knowledge. This is a commission environment.

Selling Specialist: Babies "R" Us is hiring again this week, this time for a selling specialist to facilitate positive customer interactions to promote the sale of merchandise. The candidate will accomplish this through maintaining a clean and safe shopping environment, sharing product knowledge with guests, and communicating customer-impacting issues with management.

Asset Protection Specialist: Toys "R" Us is seeking an asset protection specialist to work in its Holbrook store. This position requires basic Microsoft Office program knowledge, and CCTV knowledge is preferred. The candidate will provide front end and departmental asset protection support to reduce incidents of fraud, theft, and shrink exposure, but will not be involved in shoplifting apprehensions.

Global Brand Manager: If you have at least five years of marketing, advertising, or nutritional experience, consider the opportunity available at NBTY. The Ronkonkoma-based nutritional supplement provider is looking for a global brand manager to be responsible for marketing and promoting of the companies product lines sold through a diverse scope of wholesale outlets. The candidate will be expected to successfully spearhead initiatives, devise additional programs designed to increases sales and profitability, and improve brand image. This position involves limited international travel.

Utility Associate: There's an opening this week for a utility associate at HMS Host, a provider of food, beverage, and retail services for travelers. Duties include cleaning equipment and workstations, keeping track of supplies, and loading and unloading supply trucks among other responsibilities. There is no experience required for this position, but the candidate should be physically able to lift items weighing up to 75 pounds.
