There are plenty of retail positions available as we head into the holiday season, but this week's job board has positions in several other fields as well. Check them out below:

Ad Set Associate: Kohl's is looking for ad set associates to work at it's Ronkonkoma location. The position is part-time with overnight shifts, and responsibilities include setting promotional and non-promotional signs, auditing ad set and signing for accuracy, and assisting with sales floor and fitting room recovery, price changes, replenishment, housekeeping duties and inventory management. Candidates must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and be able to stoop, climb and walk constantly.

Software Developer: Are you interested in contributing to the educational field? SunGard Higher Education is looking for a software developer with at least 3 years of experience to work in Ronkonkoma to help provide school districts with cutting-edge software tools. Duties of the developer include providing technical and development support for the IEPPLUS software application and communicating with customers to provide technical support. Those applying for the position should have knowledge of C#.NET and SQL query language, Microsoft development environments such as Visual Studio 2008 and/or 2010, Microsoft SQL Server and Windows Server environments and web-based technologies such as HTML, XML and jQuery.

The position involves working with a senior manager regarding the rugged Mobile Computing (MC) product line, with responsibilities ranging from developing sustaining marketing plans to acting as company spokesperson during new product introductions. Qualified candidates will have 5 or more years of experience working in product marketing for a high technology company.

Assistant General Manager: If you're looking to be a leader, check out the assistant general manager position available at Boston Market's Lake Ronkonkoma location. The chosen candidate will be responsible for maintaining the restaurant environment, leading their team and interacting regularly with customers, area managers, director of operations, HR professionals and various field support and support center personnel. Macy's in the Smith Haven Mall is hiring holiday selling floor replenishment associates to work part-time during the holiday season. Responsibilities include ensuring merchandise is stocked and ready for sale, maintaining merchandise stock areas and providing friendly customer service. Candidates are required to have a flexible schedule and have strong organizational skills.

Merchandise/Operations Manager: DSW is looking for a merchandise/operations manager to oversee its store in Lake Grove.
