Here are the top stories in Sachem today:

1. Check out five upcoming open houses in the Sachem area. The homes range in price and are located in towns from Islip to Oakdale. Click the link to see more photos and information on the listings. (Sachem Patch)
2. Overnight lane closures coming to exit 59 on the LIE. Starting Thursday, westbound traffic from exit 59 to exit 53 will be detoured onto the Service Road from 10 p.m. - 5 a.m. The detours are expected to last around two weeks and the DOT asks riders to plan accordingly. (Patch)
