  1. Seven arrested at DWI checkpoint Friday night in Patchogue. The checkpoints will be located throughout Long Island this weekend as cops look to crack down on drunk driving. A total of 392 vehicles went through the checkpoint. (Patch)
  2. Stony Brook ranked among top colleges in the nation. The university was ranked 86th best college by Forbes in their annual rankings. See the full list in the link! (Patch)
  3. Work week weather report brings much needed rain. It will be a beautiful week with temperatures in the mid to upper 70s, perfect weather for the return of many schools. Tuesday will bring the heavy rain we desperately need, and rainfall may reach one inch. (Weather.com)
