Here are the top 3 stories today in Sachem:
- Woman found dead in Selden Monday morning. Her body was found on South Bicycle Path near Oneida Avenue at 6:30 a.m. Police believe the cause of the woman's death to be noncriminal. There are no other details at the moment. (Sachem Patch)
- Connetquot officials say the Ronkonkoma bus incident was a miscommunication with school bus companies. After a scare on Monday in which a person 'tried to lure children into a bus,' the district has said the incident was caused by poor communication internally. School Superintendent Lynda Adams released a statement saying, "Thankfully, yesterday's incident did not pose any danger to the safety or security of our school community. For that, we are relieved. Please be assured, that we will continue to communicate with our district bus drivers and our contracted provider to ensure our transportation services operate as smoothly as possible throughout the rest of the school year."
