  3. Saturday's civil service exams cancelled due to cyberattack. Suffolk County has been recovering from the Sept. 8 attack for weeks and is not fully functional. Many factions of government have been affected, including the Veterans Affairs Department, the Office for People with Disabilities, the Office of Aging, and the Traffic and Parking Violations Agency. Candidates will be notified of rescheduling for the civil service exam in the future. (Patch)

  • Sachem PTA Council: You can present the flyer in the link on Wednesday to Moe's in Centereach for 35% of the sale to go to the Sachem PTA. The promotion runs from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and you must either present the flyer or a picture of the flyer. (Sachem PTA Council via Facebook)
  • Sachem Community Youth Services: There will be a 2nd Fun Day Challenge session on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. There will be challenges and games and you can call the CYA to join in on the fun! (Sachem Community Youth Services via Facebook)
