  1. ‘Threat Actor’ claims responsibility for the ransomware attack on Suffolk County's websites. The information was posted on the dark web that a ransomware team BlackCat was responsible for the attack. “The county’s Information Technology Department has spearheaded an enterprise-wide effort to evaluate the impact of this cyber-incident to proceed with the safe and secure restoration of servers,” County Executive Steve Ballone said. (Sachem Patch)
  2. Weekend weather report brings an ideal fall weekend. The sun will be shining, and temperatures will be in the mid 70s to around 80 degrees. There are tons of events happening in the area, so make sure to check our events calendar and take advantage of the weather. (Weather.com)
  3. ICYMI: New York State Police hold a dedication ceremony for Sachem Alumni Trooper Brian S. Falb. The I-87 twin bridges were dedicated to Falb, who lost his life in 2017 from cancer related to 9/11. The bridges were renamed " Trooper Brian S. Falb Memorial Bridges." (nyspnews.com)
