🌱 Sachem Daily: Inaugural Flag Football Season + Weekend Events
The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Sachem.

Hello all. I'm here right on time with your fresh copy of the Sachem Daily, filled with all the community information you need to know right now.
First, today's weather:
Nice with brilliant sunshine. High: 77 low: 58.
Here are the top stories in Sachem today:
- Sachem East Flag Football loses to Walt Whitman. The girls' team fared well in the Long Island Flag Football inaugural season but came up short on Wednesday. With a chance to head to the finals and the Suffolk Championship on the line, they lost 47-6. (Huntington Now)
- Beautiful weekend ahead with tons to do. Get ready for a beautiful June weekend and see what's going on throughout Long Island. Check out this list of activities, which has something for everyone! (Patch)
- ICYMI: Suffolk County Police to roll out officer-worn body cameras. The first phase of the rollout was announced Thursday by Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone. "There is no denying that cameras change everything by providing video and audio that allows an event to be independently verified," Bellone said. "Our body-worn camera program will ensure that we are holding our officers to the highest standards, highlighting the good police work we know our officers are doing on a daily basis, and ensuring that everyone is treated justly and fairly. In short, this body-worn camera program will protect our officers, ensure accountability, and build upon the public trust. That is a win-win-win scenario." (Patch)
