  1. Sachem area weekday events: Check out what's happening. Check out what's happening in town this week, as temperatures are supposed to be in the 40s all week and even hit 50 on Saturday. The snow has mostly melted, and it's a perfect week to get out and hit the town. Check out a ballet class for $1 or bring your children to take a ballet class. (Sachem Patch)
  2. Who's hiring in Sachem area: This week's newest job openings. Take a look at what companies are hiring in our area. There are jobs available in all industries, so now's your time to get that resume up to date and get out there and start sending applications!   3. ICYMI: LI cheerleaders petition COVID vaccine mandate at championships. In order to compete at the state championship at the Rochester Institute of Technology, all of the competitors need to be vaccinated, as per the school COVID-19 policies. Cheerleaders from Sachem North School signed a petition to have the championship moved to another venue or let unvaccinated cheerleaders compete. The online petition has more than 14,000 signatures. A third of the team is unvaccinated, but they have to win the County Championship first in order to compete in the State Championship. (Sachem Patch)
