🌱 Sachem Daily: Juneteenth Jubilee Monday + New Ambulatory Center

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Sachem.

(Patch Media)

Good morning, hello! It's me, Andrew Tessler, your host of the Sachem Daily — here to explain all the most important things happening in our community today. Follow along for the latest.

First, today's weather:

Not as warm, becoming breezy. High: 73 low: 68.

Here are the top 3 stories in Sachem today:

  1. Suffolk County to hold inaugural Juneteenth Jubilee Monday. "While Juneteenth has traditionally been celebrated by the African American Community, it is important that all Americans come together to recognize what this holiday represents and what it stands for," Bellone said in a news release. "Events like the Jubilee we are holding on Monday will allow us to commemorate the end of slavery and remind us that we must continue to work every day to uphold the ideals of equality for all." 2. Catholic Health opening first ambulatory center in Centereach. The facility is set to open in 2023 and span primary care, behavioral health, women's health, cardiology, orthopedics and neurosciences. It will be located at 2112 Middle Country Rd. (Sachem Patch)
  3. ICYMI: Where to get the cheapest gas on Long Island. As gas continues to climb above $5 a gallon, there are still places that you can find gas under $5. Good news, the cheapest gas on the island is right here in Ronkonkoma at the 76 located at 440 Hawkins Ave. It's $4.50 a gallon for regular gas and you can see the full list of prices in the link.
