🌱 Sachem Daily: Last Chance Animal Rescue Partners With Joe's Pizza

Hello, neighbors! Andrew Tessler here with today's edition of the Sachem Daily.

  1. Local rescue partners with Holbrook pizza shop to get animals adopted. Joe's Pizza & Pasta is partnering with Last Chance Animal Rescue all weekend to showcase their adoptable animals and to get the word out about Animal Rescue. All donations made at the pizza shop will be matched by Joe's and flyers will be given out with each pizza box that highlight animals up for adoption.   2. April 8 Suffolk arrest report. Check out arrests made throughout Suffolk and the Sachem area in the newest report. "April 6: DeJouer Rich, 27, of Huntington, was arrested in Selden and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance: narcotic drug w/ intent to sell."   3. Sachem North junior Daniela Mare earns Veterans of Foreign Affairs top national scholarship. The event was streamed live on Facebook, held from the Statue of Liberty and sponsored by Twisted X. Each state had a winner selected to compete for the national scholarship, and Mare won the top scholarship for $30,000. Her essay was based off the theme, "America, Where Do We Go From Here".
