🌱 Sachem Daily: Local Job Openings + Pets Available For Adoption
The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Sachem.

Good day, neighbors! Andrew Tessler here with a fresh copy of the Sachem Daily.
First, today's weather:
Sunny; breezy this afternoon. High: 40 low: 26.
Here are the top 3 stories in Sachem today:
- Lynwood Elementary students blend history and technology to create ancient pyramids. "As part of the project, students studied the location, culture, religions, governments, advancements and fall of the Aztec, Inca and Maya civilizations. With the support of technology integration specialist Ms. Haas, the students learned how to use a computer program called Tinkercad to create and design their pyramid. Once their creations were complete, they were printed on the 3D printer to bring their visions to life."(Press Release Desk)
- Pets available for adoption at local shelters. Take a look at these adorable animals up for adoption at Sachem area shelters. If you see a potential pet that catches your eye, click on their picture to learn more about them and consider adopting today (Sachem Patch)

Today in Sachem:
- National Healthcare Decisions Day Online Seminar. (8:30 a.m.)
- Get to Know Universal Class - Islip Public Library. (7:00 p.m.)
From my notebook:
- Sachem Library: The library will hold Narcan training on Wednesday at 7 p.m. The class will be given by Suffolk County Emergency Medical Services. (Facebook)
- Debbie Perez, Neighbor: "On Thursday March 24,2022 at around 2:25am someone hit two of our vehicles while parked in front of our home on Benoni Avenue. We live in Lake Ronkonkoma next to Gino's Pizzeria. The person came east on Portion Rd, made a left on our block and never stopped after he struck the first car that in turn struck the second car. The vehicle that took off is a white 2014-2022 Ram Pro Master Cargo Van that was captured on our home surveillance" (Patch)
- Linda Lazzaro, Neighbor: "This is my Uncle Louie and Aunt Emma's property. It's been a landmark for Lake Ronkonkoma. Sad to see it sold. Whomever purchase it will probably tear down their home." (Patch)
