(Patch Media)

Good morning, people of Sachem! Andrew Tessler here with your Tuesday Sachem Daily.

First, today's weather:

Warmer; a few morning showers. High: 69 low: 45.

Here are the top 3 stories today in Sachem:

  1. Pets available for adoption at local shelters. Take a look at these adorable animals up for adoption at Sachem area shelters. If you see a potential pet that catches your eye, click on their picture to learn more about them and consider adopting today. Meet Salem, Rico & more by clicking the link! (Sachem Patch)
  2. Check out who's hiring this week in the Sachem area. In our weekly collab with ZipRecruiter, you can check out all the companies hiring locally in and around Sachem. If you see a job that interests you, click on it for more information and apply! (Sachem Patch)
  3. Town of Brookhaven Supervisor Ed Romaine campaigning to comedians Pete Davidson and Colin Jost. The pair of comedians recently purchased an out of commission ferry that they are looking to turn into an entertainment venue. Romaine thinks bringing it to Long Island would be perfect and wrote a letter to the two. In an April 3 letter to Davidson, Romaine said, "while we are well aware of your affinity for your native Staten Island, we welcome you to consider bringing this iconic vessel to a Long Island venue such as Port Jefferson, Patchogue, or even Fire Island." We will keep you updated on this story if it evolves into anything exciting. (Patch)
