Good morning, people of Sachem! Andrew Tessler here with a fresh Sachem Daily.

Here are the top stories today in Sachem:

  1. West Babylon man shot to death at Ronkonkoma train station. A West Babylon man was killed on a train headed for Penn Station around 1:45 a.m. Yusef Staine was shot while the train was parked at the station by a man who appeared to be traveling with him. Staine, 20, was pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses saw a man running from the train wearing a dark hoodie, and no arrests have been made yet. Detectives are asking anyone with information about the incident to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392, or Crime Stoppers, which is anonymous, at 1-800-220-TIPS. (Sachem Patch)
  2. Grubhub launches Grubhub Goods brand, which delivers whatever you need from 7-Eleven. The pandemic saw a boom for delivery apps, as many people enjoyed ordering and getting food delivered right to their door while still supporting their favorite restaurants. Grubub was a key component, as a third-party company that connects diners to a restaurant and a driver to deliver the food. With this new service, customers can now get any good they want delivered directly to their door. (FreshPlaza.com)
  3. You guide to St. Patrick's Day on Long Island. After a two-year hiatus of many events, St. Patrick's Day is back in full swing this year.
