- New York State Police hold a dedication ceremony for Sachem Alumni Trooper Brian S. Falb. The I-87 twin bridges were dedicated to Falb, who lost his life in 2017 from cancer related to 9/11. The bridges were renamed " Trooper Brian S. Falb Memorial Bridges". (nyspnews.com)
- Tamarac Elementary School holds ceremony during the first week of school to celebrate their 50th anniversary. Sachem School District retirees and Superintendent of Schools Dr. Christopher Pellettieri gathered at the school during dismissal, along with Deputy Superintendent Patricia Trombetta. They held a big sign that said 50 and students walked past with commemorative music playing. (Press Release Desk)
