  2. Sachem students have summer fun through the SCOPE program. Students participated in a variety of hands-on activities, such as edible science, art, sculpting, and more. (Press Release Desk)
  3. NYPD officer charged in road rage incident that took place in Selden on Saturday. Douglas Debonet, 32, broke a motorist's side view mirror then waved a gun at the victim's family at their home later in the day. He was arrested and suspended without pay by the NYPD. Debonet was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree menacing, both misdemeanors, police said. (Sachem Patch)
  4. Brookhaven Town Local Development Corp audited by NYS for eight projects. They did not properly approve and monitor the projects, such as the Port Jefferson Retirement Community and the Long Island Community Hospital. Read the full report in the link. (Sachem Patch)
