🌱 Sachem Daily: Ronkonkoma Beach Closed To Swimming + Upcoming Events

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Sachem.

(Patch Media)

Hello, Sachem! I'm here in your inbox this summer morning to tell you everything you need to know about what's going on in town. Let's do it...

First, today's weather:

Partly sunny and pleasant. High: 82 low: 66.

Here are the top 3 stories in Sachem today:

  1. Ronkonkoma beach closed to swimming due to bacteria in water. The beach was closed Thursday due to bacteria-contaminated water that can cause illness and infection. We will update you when the beach reopens to swimming, which will be when it is deemed safe by Suffolk health officials. (Sachem Patch)
  2. Get to know Sachem North alumni and Syracuse Orange football player Joe Cruz. Learn all about the offensive linemen who was a high school standout and now brings his skills to the collegiate level. Click the link for an in-depth look at Cruz. (Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician)
  3. See everything going on in Suffolk County in the next week. Check out the link for all events happening throughout the county and local to the Sachem area. (TBR News Media)

Today in Sachem:

  • Adult Summer Reading Club 2022, Oceans of Possibilities! - Islip Public Library. (9 a.m.)
