Here are the top 3 stories today in Sachem:

  1. Suffolk Arrest Report: April 19. Take a look at recent arrests in the area in Suffolk County's latest arrest report. 2. 4th Of July Grucci Fireworks Display and Concert returns to Bald Hill for first time since 2019. As things get back to normal, the Grucci fireworks show has been staple at Bald Hill for the 4th of July. The show goes on and all plans are moving forward for this Summer's show. "John Caracciolo, president and CEO of JVC Broadcasting and Long Island Events, said staffers are working hard to make sure our guests can afford a fun night out and not have to take out a second mortgage. "This is the best entertainment value in the area and even though we lost a lot over the pandemic, our team worked very hard to retain the affordability of the tickets and indeed, keep it available to everybody," he added. 3. Pat-Med School District mourns loss of student to suicide. The death of Anders Hart was described as a "tragic passing" by Superintendent Donna Jones in a letter sent to parents. "There are no words that can adequately comfort the inconsolable grief that the family is experiencing during this difficult time," she continued, adding, "However, we have spoken to the family and offered our unwavering support on behalf of the district. The family has expressed their sincerest gratitude to all staff members who continually supported Anders throughout his time at Medford Elementary School."(Patch)
