Humid with clouds and sun. High: 86 low: 75.

Here are the top stories in Sachem today:

  1. Temperatures to cool down for the work week. After another warm start to the week Monday and Tuesday, the rest of the week looks beautiful. Temperatures will be in the high 80s to near 90 degrees Monday and Tuesday, but Wednesday through Friday bring high 70s and low 80s. That sure will feel cool compared to the near 100 heat index we've had recently. (Weather.com)
  2. Man robbed of his electric car at the Smithhaven Mall. The man was charging his Chevrolet Bolt on Saturday when he dozed off and woke up to someone searching his pockets. Two men demanded money and sprayed the man with an irritant and then forced him out of the car. Justin Frare, 32, of Bay Shore, and Christopher Danielo, 32, of Farmingville, stole the man's car and were found and arrested an hour later at the 7-ELEVEN in Centereach. (Patch)
  3. Aug. 5 Suffolk Arrest Report. Take a look at all the arrests made in Suffolk County recently. More specifically, you can see arrests made in the Fourth Precinct which covers the Sachem area. If you have information on a crime, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-221-TIPS. (Patch)
