More than 20 students will participate in the state competition.

The Sachem High School East DECA Club recently had 21 students qualify to compete at the state competition.

The club, led by business teacher and adviser William Ward, had five students place in the top three in their specific category, three of which earned first-place honors. The talented students will continue to display their business savvy as they participate in the state competition, which will take place virtually from Feb. 7-14.
