Sachem East Grad Critically Hurt After Being Hit By Car Upstate
A fundraiser for the family of Kevin Guichard has already raised more than $30,000.

A 19-year-old Sachem High School East graduate was critically injured after being struck by a car upstate last week.
Kevin Guichard, a freshman at the University at Buffalo, was crossing Main Street near the campus on the morning of May 2 when he was hit by a car driven by an off-duty detective who was on her way to work, according to a report in The Buffalo News.
Guichard was rushed to Erie County Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition.

An online fundraiser for Guichard's family has already raised more than $30,000.
"Kevin is not only a Sachem High School East graduate, Class of 2017, and currently a freshman studying engineering at the University at Buffalo, he is truly the sweetest, most selfless and kind individual you could ever wish to meet," the GoFundMe page reads. "Kevin lights up every room with his goofy dancing and warm smile."
