
Sachem East football heads into its Homecoming game Saturday evening riding high, off to a 4-0 start to the season.
The Arrows will look to move to 5-0 for the first time in school history when they battle Walt Whitman during Saturday’s game, which kicks off at 6 p.m.
The Homecoming parade begins at 3 p.m. Admission to the game is free. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. There will be a Chinese auction, as well as a 50/50 raffle with proceeds going to the Tom Cutinella Scholarship Fund. Cutinella is the Shoreham-Wading River High School student who died last week after suffering an injury during a football game.

Michael Telesca, a Sachem Touchdown Club member, said the club is “hoping to make a nice donation [to the scholarship fund] and show what the Sachem community is all about.”
Sachem North football plays at Brentwood on Saturday at 2 p.m. North will host its Homecoming next Friday, Oct. 17 with a game against Commack.
