Sachem North Survives Wild Game Against Bay Shore
Up 9-7 with two minutes remaining, Marauders tie it to force OT.

The Sachem North Boys Lacrosse team survived a wild finish to a league game against Bay Shore yesterday, defeating the Marauders in overtime 10-9.
Joe Caridi saved the day with the unassisted game winning goal with just 1:09 left in the OT period, according to Newsday's box score. The Flaming Arrows were up 9-7 with two minutes to play, said Head Coach Jay Mauro, but Bay Shore scored two quick goals, the tying score from Bay Shore's Jake Sheets with just :19 ticks left.
"[The] kids were resilient and didn't give up," Mauro said of the victory.

Caridi's winning goal was his fourth goal on the day. Also scoring for Sachem North was Shane Deboer with two goals. Jimmy Hoffman, Tom Haun, Sean O'Brien and Matt Battelli each had one goal.

Side Note: The Sachem East Boys Lacrosse team wasn't as fortunate against Smithtown East. They lost 16-3. East's next game is scheduled for Wednesday, April 17 at home against Riverhead at 4:30 p.m.
