VAI to Showcase at IFDA Distribution Solutions Conference, Offers Webinar: Leading ERP software provider Vormittag Associates, Inc. (VAI) of Ronkonkoma has announced that it will continue to demonstrate its S2K Enterprise for Food Software during the next few weeks. From Oct. 24-26, VAI will be showcasing the software at the 2011 IFDA Distribution Solutions Conference (DSC) located at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, Texas, according to Marketwire.
The DSC covers topics such as distribution, technology, human resources, supply chain and executive matters, and is the leading conference in the industry today. Food distribution professionals will witness how the S2K software can enable businesses to manage enterprise resources, supply chain and customer relationships more effectively through integrating and automating various processes.

VAI will also be discussing its S2K Enterprise for Food Software during a free webinar on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 2:00 p.m. ET. The webinar will demonstrate how the software can assist businesses in complying with the new FDA Food Safety & Modernization Act, which calls for distributors and manufacturers to document inventory recalls as well as shipment records. J. Kings Acquires JNI Specialty Foods: Broadline foodservice distributor J. Kings Food Service Professionals, Inc. of Holtsville has revealed its recent acquisition of New York frozen food distributor JNI Specialty Foods. The transition will allow both companies to meet all of their clients’ needs through one convenient source, and will help to build upon the range of expert knowledge already available through J. Kings’ services. J. Kings supplies the restaurant industry in the New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut metropolitan areas with food and business materials.

CVD Equipment Introduces CVD Materials Subsidiary: CVD Equipment Corporation, a Ronkonkoma-based provider of development equipment for electronic components, materials and coatings, has met growth in the materials portion of its business through the creation of CVD Materials, according to Semiconductor Today.
The new subsidiary will allow CVD Equipment to continue to grow its Application Laboratory, which has allowed the company various opportunities in the chemical vapor deposition related markets. CVD Materials will focus on developing its products for contacts at universities, Industrial R&D facilities and in the government. Applications set for development through the subsidiary include those for semiconductors, batteries, capacitors and water filtration among others.
Lakeland Industries to Present at Singular Research Conference: Lakeland Industries has announced that President and CEO Christopher J. Ryan will be presenting at the 6th annual Singular Research "Best of the Uncovereds" Conference on Wednesday, October 26 at the Luxe Hotel in Los Angeles, CA, according to Marketwire.
The presentation will begin at 3:00 p.m. PT and will be available to the public during a live webcast at www.singularresearch.com. Investors will get a chance to meet with Lakeland's management team during the remaining hours of the conference during scheduled one-on-one meetings. Lakeland's involvement at the conference will pertain to its manufacturing and distribution of safety garments and accessories for the industrial protective clothing market.
