Sachem Swim Club Hosts Olympic Clinic With Rebecca Soni

The Sachem Swim Club hosted an Olympic Clinic with 2 time Olympic Swimmer Rebecca Soni at Sachem East HS on Sunday, May 6, 2018. Rebecca swam in the 2008 Beijing and 2012 London Games and won Gold Medals in the 200 meter Breaststroke event and establishing a new world record at that time in 2012. Rebecca worked with over 75 of the SSC Swimmers in fine tuning and perfecting their breaststroke. Rebecca was in the water assisted by the SSC Coaches with hands on breaststroke instruction. Rebecca also took some time to take photographs with the swimmers with her Gold medals and sign a few autographs.

All the swimmers were excited to learn from a past Olympian who is now helping the next generation of swimmers.
