Suffolk Hit-And-Run: Driver Of Silver, Gray Toyota Camry Sped Away: Cops

The sedan that struck an 18-year-old E-bike rider Jan. 4 is believed to be a 2021 model or later, police said.

SELDEN, NY — Suffolk police have released a screen grab from surveillance video with the hope that it will help them identify a driver that investigators believe was behind the wheel of a car that struck an E-bike rider earlier this month in Selden.

The 18-year-old Selden resident was riding the E-bike just before 10 p.m. on Dare Road, near 13th Street, on Jan. 4 when he was struck by a car, police said. The driver sped away in a silver or gray Toyota Camry, possibly a 2021 or later, according to police.

The e-bike rider is still hospitalized.

Further details were not released by police.

Suffolk Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.
