3 Children Among 6 Hurt In Long Island Expressway Crash
The westbound LIE has now been reopened.

RONKONKOMA, NY – Six people were injured, including three children, in a two-car crash on the Long Island Expressway Friday morning.
According to Suffolk Police, a Chevrolet was going westbound and slowing for traffic at Exit 60 in Lake Ronkonkoma when it was rear-ended by a Lincoln at 10:24 a.m.
Two adults and three children in the Chevrolet were transported by ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital. The driver of the Lincoln, the sole occupant, was also taken to Stony Brook. None of the injuries are believed to be life threatening.

All westbound lanes were closed near the scene after the crash, but they have now been reopened.
