Slater Drugs In Lake Ronkonkoma To Close After 54 Years
The Long Island drug store is closing its doors after 54 years in business.

Slater Drug Store, which opened in 1965 on Hawkins Avenue in Lake Ronkonkoma, is closing on Sunday.
The Lake Ronkonkoma Historical Society announced the closing on its Facebook, which received over 200 comments by people mourning the community loss.
"Such a part of my family history...so many nice gifts out there as well," Cheryl Eimer said.

So many memories of me going there with my mom since I was a little girl. I used to listen to the son in the basement playing drums. So sad to see them go," Jacquelyn Ciecirski-Robson said.
