Souper Bowl Of Caring Competition Collects Food For Those In Need
A canned soup drive competition between two clubs at local high school led to more than 3,500 cans of soup being collected.

The Sachem High School East Interact Volunteer Club and Sachem High School North Interact Volunteer Club recently competed in the Souper Bowl of Caring III, which is a canned soup drive competition between the two clubs that ran the entire month of January and beginning of February.

Coming into this year, East and North were tied, with East winning in 2020 and North winning in 2021. This year Sachem North collected 669 cans and Sachem East collected 2,892 cans, winning back the coveted Souper Bowl of Caring Trophy.
Overall, the outstanding effort by all of the students netted 3,561 cans of soup to help feed many in need.
