Special Weather Statement Issued For Long Island

BREAKING: There are also a couple of snow chances in the forecast this week.

The National Weather Service has issued the following special weather statement for Long Island:

Patchy dense fog will occur over the Tri-State from time to time into the early morning hours, before increasing winds and rain cause the fog to dissipate overnight. Visibilities will be highly variable over the Tri-State into the overnight hours, but will reach 1/2 mile or less at times. Motorists should be on the look
out for rapidly changing visibilities and if they encounter dense fog, reduce speed and use low beam headlights.
