Sports/Entertainment Venue Might Be Scrapped In Ronkonkoma: Report
The component is part of the $2.8 billion Midway Crossing Air Terminal and Convention Center, Newsday reported.

RONKONKOMA, NY — A sports and entertainment venue may be removed from the proposed $2.8 billion Midway Crossing air terminal and convention center in Ronkonkoma, to allay the concerns of a group of Suffolk lawmakers, according to a report in Newsday.
The 2.7 million square foot project proposed two arenas — a 4,000-seat indoor arena and an outdoor venue with 4,000 to 6,000 seats, a convention center, a 300-room hotel, health sciences facilities, a new air terminal at Long Island MacArthur Airport with a walkway connecting it to the Long Island Rail Road station, Newsday reported.
Lawmakers said they reached an agreement to scrap the indoor and outdoor sports and concert arenas after talks with developer JLL of Chicago.
