Suffolk Exec To Announce College's Cybersecurity Collaboration With SentinelOne At Ammerman Campus In Selden

SELDEN, NY — Suffolk County Executive Ed Romaine will be joined by congressmen Nick LaLota and Andrew Garbarino, college administrators Thursday at a news conference at Suffolk Community College's Ammerman Campus in Selden to announce the collaboration between the college’s cybersecurity program and SentinelOne.

SentinelOne’s contribution is in recognition of the college’s excellence in the training of future cybersecurity professionals and the sharp increase in demand for cybersecurity professionals, officials said.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates job opportunities within the cybersecurity sector will increase by 35 percent by 2031, which is at least 7 times the national average for all occupations, according to officials.

The news conference is set to begin at 10 a.m.

It will be held at the college's Cottage/Administrative Building on Middle Campus Road. The college's campus is located at 533 College Road, Selden.
