Suffolk Man Abandoned Dog in ‘Deplorable’ Conditions: SPCA
The dog was found covered in his own feces and pee, the SPCA says.

A Centereach man was charged with animal cruelty Monday after police say he left his dog in an abandoned house for an extended period of time, according to Suffolk County SPCA.
Terral Ellis, 34, left a male pit bull in a Centereach home, located at 187 Smithtown Polk Boulevard, for more than 24 hours with no food or water, the SPCA says.
Officials say they found the dog living in deplorable conditions and he appeared to be dehydrated and covered in his own excrement. The dog was transported to Brookhaven Animal Shelter to be treated.
