- Suffolk Police to add more patrols and check sex offenders for Halloween weekend. They will also be on the lookout for mischievous adolescents vandalizing property as well. "Our officers will be out in force and I would like to remind people who believe Halloween mischief is just a prank — damaging someone's property is a crime," Suffolk County Police Commissioner Rodney Harrison said. - Stony Brook pizzeria will give out free pizza today in honor of man who died of an overdose. Station Pizza & Brew will give out free pizza to the first 100 customers for the event that was organized to remember Alex Sutton, who died of a heroin/fentanyl overdose in 2018, on what would have been his 35th birthday. There will also be Narcan training and kits offered by the SCPD. (Patch)
