2 Unknown Adults Board Long Island School Bus
Two unknown adults boarded the bus in the pre-dawn hours and then got off after a few stops, officials said.

LAKE RONKONKOMA, NY — Suffolk police are investigating an incident in which two unknown adults boarded a Sachem North High School bus at a scheduled stop early Wednesday and then got off after a few stops, officials said.
Police said an adult male and female boarded the bus in Holbrook as it transported students at about 6:30 a.m., but the pair exited the bus a short time later. The incident is under investigation and believed to be "non-criminal at this time," a police spokeswoman said.
The two people, who sat quietly together in a seat, did not interact with any of the other riders and left "without incident" during the pre-dawn ride and the scenario ended up being captured on video, which was reviewed by Sachem's administration and security, along with the police department, according to a letter from Sachem Superintendent Christopher Pelletieri.

"In the limited lighting and with the wearing of winter clothing, it was not readily evident at boarding that they were not authorized to ride," he wrote parents.
Police are expected to continue their investigation and will provide surveillance on the bus route tomorrow, Pelletieri said, adding, that the district is "working together with its transportation contractor on a thorough review of safety protocols and will do the same with its own drivers, as well."
